SADARS is now one of the most active amateur radio clubs in the Midlands region. The enthusiasm of its members leads to a varied calendar of events.Activities have ranged from SOTA expeditions to club trips to The Space Centre in Leicester.

There are regular contruction projects and construction evenings.Members have even been know to get up before dawn and congregate on Cannock chase, greyline hunting. Of course the bacon sarnies were also quite an incentive!Cannock Chase has become a regular meeting venue (Weather Permitting) where "inter-club" challenges and portable operating evenings are held. The winner is usually the operator who get the furthest on the least power.
